To mark the national day of disability, 51 beneficiaries gathered at the Maison Chance Shelter.

They all gathered around a large table to share a meal and celebrate the day in their honor, introduced by the Vietnamese government's new law, which makes April 18 a holiday for workers with disabilities. Children's Home, Tim, some employees of Maison Chance including social workers and some volunteers were also present. On the menu: Macaroni and sauted beef with chicken curry and bread sticks.

After dinner, the beneficiaries sang a few songs, then they had the opportunity to participate in three main games: divided into 2 teams, they participated enthusiastically in a game incorporating the principle of Chinese whispers (telephone game), and then a music game: one member from each team compete in a joust of songs. The first begins with a verse, stop singing at the end of a sentence and the other player must immediately follow up with lyrics from a song that start with the last word uttered by the former.

The third game was a drawing contest, which was to redesign, in common, Maison Chance's logo. An additional team, consisting of the children in the household also took part in this game. The winning teams received an envelope as a reward and the losers a second prize!

It was also an opportunity to inform more clearly our beneficiaries in wheelchairs about rights of persons with disabilities in Vietnam.

The atmosphere was laughing, everyone was taken by the games, and the time of the evening more than 50 people with disabilities have completely forgotten their condition, carried by giggles of mirth and joy!
