From Heart to Heart: Painting Exhibition and Sales Event at ILA

The paintings and products made by our beneficiaries had been just set up in the entrance hall of ILA Center in district 1 when the first painting was already sold. Stuffed animals, keychains, chocolate and almond cookies from Village Chance bakery and a dozen paintings from talented artists like Chien, Duong, Phong and Tran were on sale this September 17 and 18.

The painting exhibition and sales event “From heart to heart” organized by the ILA community network and Maison Chance was a great opportunity for our organization to promote our work and sell more products which are created, designed, manufactured and backed with love. They are all handmade by disabled men and women who learn a new handcraft in five workshops at our Vocational Training Center and the Village Chance bakery.

The charity event attracted ILA employees and English students likewise. One of the bestsellers were deers, pigs, hand puppets, and basically all stuffed animals with pink fabric. Besides that, the sale team consisting of Phuong, Eléonore and Nelli, sold seven big paintings and six small ones by the end of the second day. The revenues of the sale benefit the Maison Chance Family and covers part of the Centers’ running costs.

A huge thanks to Niall Mackay and Ms. Le from ILA for organizing this successful exhibition!
