Do’s first steps

Vu Ngoc Do, born in 1991, is an apprentice in the stone cutting workshop at Take Wing Center. At first, it was not easy for him. But now he mastered all the necessary techniques.

Do became paralyzed after a work accident when he was 20 years old. And he’s been in a wheelchair for 8 years. Before joining Maison Chance a year ago, he had taken physiotherapy sessions in a rehabilitation center in HCMC, but the situation had not improved much.

At Maison Chance, he receives massage and physical exercise sessions for one hour each day with physiotherapists. And their efforts have paid off: Do can now walk short distances on crutches. He can even go up and down the stairs. His next goal is to be able to walk longer distances
