At the end of August, the school kids of Maison Chance participated in the drawing contest organised by Roche Diagnostics Vietnam, the pharmaceutical company which has been now sponsoring Maison Chance for a decade.
For the third year in a row, Roche will decorate its annual calendar with artwork made by our beneficiaries. This year it will be decorated with the pupils’ drawings.

The award ceremony took place on November 13th at Village Chance where the drawings of the pupils were exposed. We had the honour and the pleasure to receive Mr. Rod Ward, the General Manager of Roche Vietnam, and his assistant Dinh Thuy Vân.
Following a first dance show, the singers Quy Binh, Lam Ngoc Hoa and Bang Cuong sang for the children who, delighted, sang along the famous Vietnamese hit songs.

A moving speech was then given by Mr. Ward to thank Tim for her actions and invite the pupils to open up to the world and cultivate themselves continuously to build-up their future. He announced that Roche will keep financing the school’s English classes for the next five years and handed a certificate to Tim for this purpose. Mr. Ward also received from Maison Chance a thank you certificate and a painting of a sailboat painted by one of our beneficiaries.

Called one by one to come up on stage, the originators of the three most beautiful drawings received each as a prize a brand new bicycle. However, what counts is taking part so all the pupils received a certificate and a gift.
The day closed with a buffet prepared by Maison Chance’s bakery which received many compliments for its delicious cakes and appetizers.
Maison Chance would like to express its gratitude to Roche for this ongoing and solid partnership.
