Maison Chance Social Center in Dak Nong was created to provide a lifelong living for abandoned quadriplegics. In addition, the Center provides primary education for poor children and vocational training for people with disabilities in the region. It is expected that when it is fully put in operation, 250 beneficiaries, including about 100 people with disabilities, will stay, learn and work here.

As healthcare service is very important, from the beginning of the construction of the Center, the infirmary and kinesitherapy room have been built with a total area of 274.5m2 and is located at middle of the site. The construction and equipment cost were funded by two organizations, BAUR and BASAID.

Currently, Maison Chance Social Center in Dak Nong has welcomed 116 disadvantaged children attending primary school, including 17 children with disabilities. The infirmary and kinesitherapy room have also been put in operation since August, with seven staff including a pharmacist, caregivers and kinesitherapists.

The infirmary provides basic care, drug dispensing and emergency assistance. Students have regularly health check with a team of volunteer doctors from Ho Chi Minh City. In the near future, a dental clinic will be set up to provide dental care to the beneficiary members.
Kinesitherapy plays an important role for people with disabilities, especially for the paralysed. At the Center, they attend daily exercise session to help relax their muscles to prevent the risk of sclerosis, pain and intestinal diseases. Advanced treatments will also be applied, including horse therapy, aquatic therapy and therapies through cultivation and breeding.

In the future, the infirmary and kinesitherapy room will continue to be developed to meet the health care needs of beneficiaries at the Center and can be extended to disadvantaged people in the region.
